Our Interventional Radiology leader would like to know what other organizations are doing in regards to MRI's with IV sedation and the Radiologist's availability. Are their Radiologist's present in the MRI room during the entire administration of conscious sedation, or do they leave MRI room once sedation is started and are available somewhere in the department if they are needed? Our sedation policy states that the physician should be available. This can be interpreted different ways.
